More Arrests Thanks to Operation Curbside

San Juan police have made yet another arrest as part of Operation Curbside, 47-year-old Marcelino Tijerina faced multiple charges. From possession of marihuana and possession of cocaine, to possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and evading arrest on foot. According to investigators, officers attempted to take him into custody in connection to the operation of a drug house located near Pino and Retama Streets after an anonymous tip provided them information about suspicious activity in the area. Police even assigned an undercover officer to enter the location and purchase drugs to catch tijerina in the act. That’s what prompted his arrest. Tijerina has an extensive criminal history. Tonight, he’s been booked at the Hidalgo County Detention Center on bonds totaling $210,000.
