Sergeant speaks publicly about Near Death Experience

Foxrio2.com is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Jacob de la Garza spoke today publicly for the first time about his near death experience in Afghanistan after a roadside bomb injured him and several soldiers on May 21, 2011, he then continued to save the lives of others.
The city board members presented a proclamation to our local hero, the Edinburg Chief of Police was honored to be a part of the ceremony.
Sergeant de la Garza has received the Marine’s medal of valor and the Purple Heart. He is described as a man of honor and integrity and a valley hero for putting his life on the line for others.
