An early afternoon traffic stop lands a group of undocumented immigrants and their suspected smuggler in custody. After a slew of traffic violations, La Joya Police officers were led on a high speed chase that lasted 30 miles nearly approaching from city limits near Las Canas Road and Avenida Dulce Street. The driver of a white Chevy Silverado pick up truck bailed out and so did five women, two men and a teenager. But they didn’t get far.
