3 arrested for bus vandalism, including an 8 year old

A nineteen year old teen with aspirations to join the u.S. Army is behind bars after he and his younger friends vandalized 13 school buses at the south Texas ISD business, education and technology academy campus in Edinburg Sunday afternoon.
All three are Edinburg residents and they live in the general area where the incident occurred
Andy Solorio, a 13 year old, and an 8 year old boy apparently dared each other to get inside the school buses and drive them around the school grounds.
The trio even went as far as to submerge two of the buses in a small pond.
We are gratified at the Edinburg police department on the prompt attention that was given to our situation
South Texas ISD transportation coordinator, Elva Villarreal, is shocked to know that an eight year old boy was involved.
District is looking at 65 to 85 thousand dollars in damage and its currently waiting on the claims adjuster
The school district has managed to pull in several buses to provide transportation to their students.
Fox 2 news tried speaking to Solorios mother who was at his arraignment, but she refused to comment.
The 8 year old boy will be turned over to child protective services who will decide if the parents are to blame for their lack of supervision.
